Gold Wing Club Ukraine continues its international information mission aimed at sharing the truth about the war in Ukraine through art and powerful symbols.
After the start of the full-scale invasion, murals began appearing in different cities across Ukraine. These artworks became symbols of resilience, resistance, and unity.
These images have been transferred onto commemorative art stones, which GWCUA presents to representatives of European countries during international meetings.
Murals That Became Symbols
Among the images represented:
The “Ghost of Kyiv” mural, unveiled in August 2022 in Kyiv, dedicated to Ukrainian pilots defending the skies above Ukraine.
The artwork was created by Ukrainian artist Andrii Kovtun and depicts a Ukrainian pilot alongside a MiG-29 fighter jet.
Works by French street artist Christian Guémy, who came to Ukraine at the beginning of the war and created a series of murals in different cities while they were under shelling.
One of them shows a boy wearing a traditional Ukrainian embroidered shirt standing among ruins, symbolizing the resilience of Ukrainian children.
A mural in Lviv, created based on a famous photograph by Associated Press photographer Andriy Andriyenko, depicting a Ukrainian border guard saying goodbye to his beloved at the Kramatorsk railway station.
Later, that same location became the target of a missile strike.
An International Mission
Representatives of GWCUA present these symbolic art stones during Treffen and official events of the Gold Wing European Federation.
In 2024, club representatives visited 25 countries, personally speaking about the events in Ukraine without intermediaries or distorted information.
Each symbolic object reminds the European community of:
- the struggle of the Ukrainian people
- the price of freedom
- the unity of international support
Memory and Responsibility
In times of war, art has become a language that speaks louder than news.
These murals are not just images.
They are testimonies of our time.
They are stories that have already become part of Europe’s shared memory.
Gold Wing Club Ukraine continues its international work, combining motorcycle touring, cultural diplomacy, and real support for Ukraine.
Together we are strong.
